I was having a look on the weekend at sites offering live AFL scores and while there’s plenty of live score updates and AFL stats updates (there’s even live Supercoach scores updates!) it is pretty hard to find live AFL games streaming anywhere online. So here’s a quick summary of sites offering AFL live scores:

AFL Live Scores sites:

AFL website
Probably the easiest way to get a summary of all the live AFL scores for the round. Although not always the quickest as the AFL website can sometimes be slow. There’s also the AFL Match Centre for getting the full AFL game stats and tracking each footy match live in full. That’s a better option if you need all the details.

Real Footy Live Scores
Basic AFL live scores and the AFL ladder on a page which refreshes data every 60 seconds. Good if you just want a quick check of the scores for the round.

The Score
Another nice and simple and quick loading site with AFL footy scores and the live AFL ladder on the one page. What I like about this site is that you can click on each match of the round for a breakdown of the score, match stats and standout players.

I was planning to post about the top AFL Football forums but having a quick search around I’ve been disappointed with whats available currently. A few years back AFL footy forums were all the rage and there were plenty of competitors, one of the reasons I didn’t bother launching another one.

But so far I’ve only found BigFooty and AFL Online as the main independent footy forums that pull a decent following and have regular posts.

TalkingFootball used to be decent but it seems like they have much fewer users than they used to.

So who have I missed? Surely there are more decent AFL footy forums? Post a comment here and let me know who I should add a link to.
